Since your game is already experiencing lag you may want to start over. If you have too many save file you may need to move it to another folder. This will ensure that you have a backup and a fresh save. I also suggest to use 'Save As' every sim day after 3am. Basically these mods will delete the NPC cars every 3am and fix whatever errors it may find. You need to carefully read the instructions when installing the mod. The only solution for this problem is to install NRAAS Overwatch and ErrorTrap. The longer you play, the more cars accumulate to the point that it will reach thousands and create lag or crash the game. This problem gets worse when a sim has a job that gives them limousines as service cars. EA didn't properly code the game to get rid of them after they drove off. Sims 3 main problem is basically accumulation of NPC cars and taxis. I love TS3 so much and this glitch means I can't play in my favourite save for more than about 20-30 minutes, so if anyone has any advice or suggestions I would appreciate it a lot!Įdit: I checked the xcpt files and it says the error was due to 'Access Violation', but I'm not sure what this could mean or how to go about fixing it. Lo and behold, mid-saving, the game closed again! I played for a bit today, and in case it closed again, I decided to save. Today, I backed my saves up and used the Save Cleaner mod, then re-started the game after deleting all the cache files. It's never after the same amount of time, and it's never caused by a particular action, it seems to just be completely random. I tried to play again later that day and after some time, it closed the same way again. However, when I was playing a couple of days ago, the game randomly closed in an instant - No error message or anything running in the background in Task Manager, it just completely shut down without a trace.

This stuff is annoying, but I can live with it. My sims take forever to do things, and sometimes they just straight up go invisible, objects often get really glitchy as well and the icons don't show up in Buy Mode. My game is on patch 1.67, so it doesn't suffer from the messy glitches that came with the 1.69 patch, however it has still become exceptionally buggy recently.
